After brilliant studies at Nancy Conservatory, Sandrine François is admitted at the age of 18 successively at Lyon CNSMD - Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique and at Paris CNSMD. She chooses Paris Conservatory and joined the class of P. Y. Artaud. Three years later she obtaioned the first flute price and also a first Price unanimously in chamber Music in the class of Christian Ivaldi with Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire.
Then, she obtained a Lavoisier scholarship from the French government to study in Oberlin (USA) with professor Michel Debost to prepare the Artist Diploma.
In 1995, at the age of 24, Sandrine François become principal flute of the “Philharmonie de Lorraine” in Metz, and in 1996, she becomes first flute of the “Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg” she currently holds.
She plays chamber music in different formations with prestigious partners such as P. Ibanez (guitar) , F. Macarez (drums ) , E. Deleplace , P- M . Vigneau or E. Adler ( Harp ) , V. Rimlinger and Dr. Barbey- Lallia (piano) ... and performs regularly as a soloist with various orchestras ( Jolivet concerto , Mozart, Galim from Dusapin, Suite from Bach, Concerti from Vivaldi, ... ) and with the Ensemble Accroche-Note.
She has recorded with P. Barbey- Lallia a CD entitled Bluesy Prelude', after the works of R. Guiot. In June 2013 she recorded a second CD entitled Aubade to the moon with the Ensemble Aeneas grouping French pieces from the 1920s.
Holder of the french teaching diploma, Sandrine François is flute professor at Strasbourg CRR - Conservatoire Regional as well as the Higher Academy of Music in Strasbourg, where she prepares students for the license and the master of interpreter.
Regularly invited as a jury member ( CNR Conservatory , DE, CA), Sandrine François also teaches master classes, in France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Poland, China, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Sardinia, United Kingdom and United States.
